It is used to reduce sound reverberation or echo inside rooms. The wide range of Kontro panels offers the solution for many construction problems related to interior design, safety and thermo-acoustic comfort. Its use is especially recommended in places of worship, cinemas, theatres, auditoriums, schools, multi-purposes places, sports facilities, wellness centres, offices, stores and technical rooms.
Laid with the AlCover supporting structure (base 35mm – height 38mm) to lower and support Kontro panels.
False ceiling lowered by means of the AlCover metal supporting structure (base 35mm – height 38mm) with the insertion of sound-absorbing and thermo-insulating panels made of super-compressed, pre-formed and pre-painted light natural cork (Kontro). Kontro panels have thickness 3cm, dimensions 60x60cm, density 200/220 Kg/m3, CE compliance certificate according to EN 13964:2004 standard, fire resistance (Euro class) B s1 d0, durability class C. Choice of colours.
The Kontro panel has no negative effects on the healthiness and transpiration of inside spaces because it is totally composed of natural cork. Thanks to its nature, it doesn’t cause allergies and doesn’t produce irritating dust during the processing step and the laying. The Kontro panel is comparable, for its nature, to a wooden element.
Kontro panels, are obtained by grinding cork barks. The barks picking doesn’t require tree felling. Barks grow back naturally, without chemical fertilizers and a new picking is possible after only ten years. Therefore the cork is a renewable and inexhaustible resource. The picking process is manually done, with just a minimum use of machinery. Production and transport require a low energy consumption because of the lightness of the product. Production wastes (dust, etc.) are burned to produce thermal energy, used for the same production or in agriculture. Processing wastes are completely reusable.
